During the final week of Lent we celebrate Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, and Easter.
The Maundy Thursday service is a Tenebrae service with communion. We remember the night that Christ was betrayed and his final commandment, “Love one Another”. (Maundy comes from the Latin word for commandment.) (Tenebrae is Latin for shadow or darkness.)
On Good Friday we worship using the last seven words from the cross and special music.
On Holy Saturday we welcome the community to celebrate the love of Jesus Christ with a retelling of the Easter Story, crafts, buffet and an Easter Egg Hunt.
Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the community is invited to a bountiful Easter brunch following worship.
