“Pursue What Makes for Peace.” The offering is about equipping the peacemakers. Attaining lasting peace – in a worn- torn country, a gang-ridden neighborhood, a community that has lost their water supply – is not something you and I can easily fix on our own. It takes study, organizing, consensus building, government cooperation, and long-term fundraising. There are organizations and programs that are doing this work already and need our ongoing assistance. A gift to the Peace and Global Witness Offering enables the entire church to collaborate in this proclamation of Christ’s peace.
We will collect this offering throughout September with a dedication on World Communion Sunday, October 5.
