Small Group Opportunities

Small interest groups are integral to the life and spirit of Southminster. There’s one for everyone! Look to these groups to provide an opportunity for you to get to know your church family, as well as, participate in activities with Christians who have similar interests.

Adult Bible Study

Our Adult class meets on Svunday mornings from September through May in our Parlor at 11:00 a.m. for an inductive program. We enjoy study and discussion of the Books of the Bible as presented in The Books of the Bible: New Testament. Come join us for stimulating conversation, edifying study, and not a small amount of laughter.

Presbyterian Women

Morning circle meets at the church for prayer, fellowship, refreshments and a planned program on the third Friday of every month (September – May) at 9:30 a.m. in our Parlor.

Presbyterian Readers

The Presbyterian Readers Book Club meets the third Wednesday of each month in our Parlor. We read a variety of secular books agreed upon by the group. Everyone is welcome. Presbyterian Readers does not meet during the summer. Please consult the calendar.

The Quilt Ministry creates simple lap quilts for the residents of the DuPage Convalescent Center. They meet monthly from September through May, usually on the second Monday, in the Fellowship Hall at 7:30 p.m. People with all skill levels are invited to join us.

Southmen

This group of men meets at Maxfield’s in Lombard on Wednesdays at 8:00 a.m. for topical discussions and fellowship.

Women’s Breakfast Group

This group meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 8:00 a.m. at Danby’s Station in Glen Ellyn for breakfast and fellowship. All women are welcome.

Women’s Bible Study

During the School year the women’s bible study meets in our Parlor most Sunday evenings to study scripture and topics of a spiritual nature. Please consult the calendar.
