Interactive Walk-Through Easter Story — Crafts for All Ages

Easter Egg Hunt (up through 5^th grade)

Southminster Presbyterian Church welcomes the community for a family-friendly Easter Party. A responsible adult should accompany all children to this free event.

The fun starts at 9:30 a.m. with crafts for all ages and a walk-through Easter Story.

The event finishes with an Easter Egg Hunt: Children 5^th grade and under are invited to hunt for plastic eggs stuffed with candies and small toys, stickers, and tattoos. Weather permitting, we will hunt for eggs outside or if not, inside the church.

Photo Release Policy

Southminster Presbyterian Church takes photographs or video of participants promoting our programs, services, events, activities, and facilities in our social media, website, etc.

By participating in or attending any Southminster activities the participant (or parent/ guardian of a minor participant) agrees to the use and distribution of the participant’s image (or image of a minor child/ ward) in photographs, video recordings, and any other electronic reproductions of such activities for any purpose without inspection, compensation, or any other consideration now and in the future.

Southminster Supports Bridge Communities!

Bridge Communities is a DuPage Co. based non-profit that runs a very effective program to help homeless families get off the street and back on their feet. Southminster has supported Bridge Communities for years, including Sleep Out Saturday, Bridge Communities annual fundraiser.

Sleep Out Saturday: On Nov. 4. a group of Southminster youth and adults will be sleeping outside on the church grounds to support Bridge Communities Transitional Housing Program, a highly successful agency that helps homeless families get off the streets and on with their lives. Where in the western suburbs do you go for the best in talent? Right here at Southminster at our annual Talent Show. The talent show will be held in the sanctuary (but you can still watch online, if you like)! So, be sure to let Blair know if you are entering an act. (blair@southminsterpc.org or leave a message in the church office 630-469-9149) You can perform live or pre-record it if that suits you. If you want to record, we will arrange to record you in the sanctuary so that we have consistency of video and audio quality. There will be no meal this year, but the show will be followed by a dessert fellowship in the Narthex. A free will donation to our Youth Mission Team will be gratefully accepted.

For a free-will donation, have your car washed while you shop! Proceeds support our Youth Mission Team heading to Imperial, PA, for a week of workcamp benefiting local folks who need help with home repair and painting.
